Description

SHOTGLASS ( BROKEN GLASS )

SHOTGLASS is an abrasive born as a reflection of Ab Shot's constant search to provide new and dynamic solutions to the surface treatment sector and to provide the customer with maximum information, always seeking the profitability of the process.

SHOTGLASS, is presented in the same granulometrie that the Glass Microsphere, the only difference is the shape.

With SHOTGLASS, the same finishes are obtained as with the glass bead, with the same working times.

SHOTGLASS replaces the glass bead, providing the same durability and identical finish, but with a very clear advantage over the bead, a lower process cost of up to 40%.

SHOTGLASS, is an exclusive product of Ab Shot, its technical characteristics make it different, and provide ideal conditions for dealing with steel. stainless steel, aluminium, or delicate work in high precision moulds…

Typical applications.

Suitable for soft cleaning and reconditioning, dry and wet spraying of moulds, engine parts, cleaning after thermal treatment, electrical plugs, glazing, elimination of defects in molded parts.

In general, in all cases where an homogeneous surface  finishing is required  without alteration of the tolerances of the machined parts.

For surface hardening treatment of workpieces subjected to high loads mechanical stresses, elimination of residual surface stresses caused by machining processes.

Especially suitable for the final finishing of stainless steel parts.
