Spherical steel abrasives are manufactured from steel, hardened and tempered, have a content in carbon dioxide greater than 0.85%. Heat treatment and tempering are strictly controlled which gives them a resilience and optimum resistance to impact breakage fatigue.
This type of shot is suitable for all types of work such as removal of rust, cleaning of surfaces in general, elimination of tension and pre-stressing of surface layers, shot peening. They are used in pressure blasting processes with compressed air and in turbine blasting processes.
Angular steel abrasives are made of cast steel, obtained by crushing. The same hardening and tempering technology is applied to them. Angular abrasives have a high erosion rate and are intended for hard work on very rough surfaces. contaminated. They are excellent for surface preparation prior to application of the painting, metallization or adhesion for gumming.
They are used in air pressure blasting and turbine blasting. They have high erosion capacity and, therefore, to increase surface roughness.
Quality control inspecting: grain size, grain shape, composition and resistance.
