Our Technical Office and  I + D + i  department, fully manages the design, development and quality control of all projects: OWN MANUFACTURING, PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, Construction under EC Regulations.

We have more than 50 years of experience manufacturing sandblasting machines and blasting equipments. There are currently more than 700 machines operating to the full satisfaction of our customers. These machines are distributed in sectors as diverse as aeronautics, solar energy, heat treatment, stone treatment, rollers … We will study your specific case and, even with the most innovative project, you will have the solutions of our engineers and the whole R+D+I department support, to provide the best solutions to your needs.

SUCTION AND PRESSURE BLASTING MACHINES

At AB SHOT we are manufacturers of dry, suction (or Venturi) and pressure blasting equipment, with more than 50 years of experience in surface treatment and more than 1,000 installations manufactured.

We have a manufacturing line for standard equipment and a manufacturing line for special, automatic equipment and tailor-made installations to adapt to the specific needs of each client.

The manufacturing line of standard sandblasting equipment consists of the “S” and “SV” series with several models per series, ideal for both production and maintenance work. We have opted for a modern and ergonomic design that allows us to manufacture efficient and very economical blasting equipment, but always within the needs of the customer.

The manufacturing line of special blasting equipment consists of automatic equipment and tailor-made suits, where our engineers carry out the study, design and development of the project and our workshop carries out the manufacture, assembly and commissioning of the installation at the customer’s premises.

In Cervelló we have a pilot plant with several suction and pressure blasting equipment, prepared to perform any kind of trials with our customers’ pieces, in order to determine the most appropriated equipment and abrasive this customer will need, and to provide effective solutions to each specific case in point.

The most common applications of sand blasting are: cleaning of moulds, deburring of parts, surface finishes, surface preparation, etc.

Automatic and Special Dry Blasting Machines

When standard manual equipment is not the solution for a blasting process, it is usually because of the need to satisfy high productions, achieve a specific finish, eliminate the human factor, reduce manipulations or the need to move pieces of weight and/or measurements that are out of the standard.

These particular cases require the study of the client’s problems and the development of suitable equipment to fully satisfy their needs, whether the project is a modification of a manual equipment of particular dimensions and mechanisms, or whether the solution requires a completely customised automated design capable of working with the necessary abrasive grain.

At AB SHOT, we apply our experience as manufacturers, incorporating to all our special blasting equipment, both manual and automatic, elements of our own manufacture such as drive pumps and guns equipped with anti-abrasion coatings to satisfy the customer needs.

Our blasting cabins are of national manufacture, built under CE regulations.

Among the most common applications of sand blasting are: cleaning of moulds, deburring of parts, surface finishes, surface preparation, etc.

Wet blasting machine

The process works with a solution of water and abrasive with compressed air to be projected on the surface to treat. The process removes contaminating residues from the surface of the piece, getting it clean and ready for the next process.

The most fundamental part of the system is the drive pump. Our pump has been designed without bearings, mechanical seals or traditional systems. The areas in contact with the abrasive solution are made of a special anti-abrasion polyurethane to avoid rapid wear of the system.

The pump drives the water-abrasive mixture from the manifold, pushes it in a constant volume flow towards the process gun. Before the gun, a proportion of water is diverted by the by-pass to provide perfect agitation. A controlled flow of compressed air is injected into the gun to accelerate the water-abrasive mixture, which is then projected onto the workpiece.

Portable sandblasting machines (portable blasting machines)

AB SHOT, has a large variety of models of portable sandblasters. These sandblasters are usually used in a extensive variety of jobs. The smaller sandblasting machines are used for small restoration or touch-up jobs, and the sandblasting machines with larger tanks are used in blasting rooms or in outdoor work for treating large surfaces, blasting structures, cleaning facades, etc.

The choice of the sandblasting machine and the abrasive to be used will depend on each application. At ABSHOT, in addition to standard sandblasting machines, we also have a range of low-pressure sandblasting machines that are ideal for cleaning monuments or restoring facades.

Apart from all models of sandblasting machines, we also have sandblasting machines called “pull and collect”, i.e. sandblasting machines with abrasive recovery. These sandblasters have a built-in tank and a filtering system.

AB SHOT’s job is to advise the customer not only on the purchase of the right sandblasting machine for the job, but also on the choice of the right abrasive or shot and the right material for the job.
